What are your practices for sustainably gardening? At Patch in the Park, we're passionate about growing delicious food and nurturing a healthy planet! That's why we embrace sustainable practices throughout the garden. Our plots utilise innovative wicking beds, which reduce water waste by having built-in reservoirs that keep plants happily hydrated. We also collect precious rainwater in tanks, ensuring we use every drop wisely. When it comes to food scraps and yard waste, we don't throw them away! We turn them into nutrient-rich compost using handy bukashi systems. Plus, we love the power of mulch! Layering organic materials around our plants helps retain moisture, suppress weeds, and create a healthy environment for all our garden dwellers – big and small!
